Young Writers Competition 2017
First-prize winners of the Young Writers Competition 2017:
This season, Sierra Writers is sponsoring the Competition for both Middle School and High School students. These competitions are open to students in Nevada County with exceptions for those from adjacent counties provided an adult member of Sierra Writers forwards details regarding such a student to firstname.lastname@example.org. Both competitions have three categories, Fiction, Non-fiction, and Poetry, and have three prizes in each category. Students may enter in all three categories but may only submit one entry per category. Submissions will be due March 1, 2017; the winners will be announced no later than May 1. PRIZES will be awarded in each category, and winners will be invited to read their winning submissions at the May 10th meeting.
Winning submissions will also be published in our Newsletter over the following year and by submitting, you are giving Sierra Writers the right to do this without any restriction on your right to publish your work anywhere else.

She’ll even help you develop a short entry to submit for the Sierra Writer’s Young Writers Competition. Join Kim from 2.15 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. in the room N8-112.
